We are the "Ambassadors"

"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God."

--2 Corinthians 5:20

Our purpose in offering sports opportunities is to glorify God in our thoughts, words, and deeds.

"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."   ~ 1Corinthians 10:31

Ages:  Students playing in middle school must be at least nine years old, and cannot be older than 15.

The league rule says they cannot turn 15 before March 1st of the next year.  (this means March 1, 2017 this school year)

Varsity teams are made up of students from ages 15 through high school graduation.

Experience:  No previous sports experience is necessary to play, but is helpful.

Physicals:  Parents are encouraged to have their child(ren) have a sports physical each year before participating in sports.

Parental Involvement:  Because we are a home school team, we must travel to the places where we practice and play, and so

parents play a vital role in transportation, encouragement, and support.  Many of the coaches are

also parents of players, so we encourage parents to be actively involved.

Fees:  Each of the sports has paperwork to fill out as well as a fee to pay.  Since we try to keep costs down, it means we are usually in need of fundraisers.

So we welcome any help in that regard, as well as any business sponsors that would help us.

If participating in sports is an impossibility because of finances, LCHS does occasionally entertain scholarship requests in hardship cases.

Team formation:  Each year we have to "wait and see" what the participation level is of home school families.  That means that we are not always able to field a team in a certain sport because there are not enough players that came out to play.  For example, we did not have a flag football team last year, but hope to have one this year.  So we ask for your forbearance as we work with those who do choose to participate each year.

Coaches:  If you are interested in coaching, please contact us.
